These Terms govern your use of the CogniKin connector software ("the Connector"), which links third-party services (Microsoft 365, Google, and others) to the CogniKin application running on your device. The Connector is provided by Kuranda Industries Pty Ltd (ACN 000228928, Australia), trading as CogniKin ("we", "us").
By installing or using the Connector, or by clicking "Allow" on the OAuth consent screen of a third-party provider to grant CogniKin access, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The Connector allows your local CogniKin application to authenticate to third-party services on your behalf and, using the access permissions you grant, read data from those services (for example, your email or calendar) locally on your device.
Access tokens for third-party services are stored only on your device. The CogniKin proxy does not retain them. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
We operate the CogniKin proxy on commercially reasonable terms and aim for high availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. You acknowledge that the Connector's functionality depends on the availability of both the CogniKin proxy and the underlying third-party services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Connector is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This does not exclude any warranty, guarantee, or other right that cannot be excluded or limited under Australian Consumer Law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Connector is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) AUD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
The Connector integrates with third-party services operated by independent companies (including Microsoft Corporation and Google LLC). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not by these Terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or data handling of those third parties beyond the specific scopes your token allows.
You may stop using the Connector at any time by disconnecting the accounts and uninstalling the software. We may suspend or terminate your access to the proxy with reasonable notice, except in cases of suspected abuse, security risk, or legal requirement, where we may act without prior notice.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice — through an in-app notification, an email, or an update on this page — before the changes take effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except to the extent that consumer protection laws grant you additional rights in your place of residence.
